Autism Education Trust Partnership
Stone Hill School is proud to be the strategic partner of the Autism Education Trust in Doncaster. As their partner, we deliver autism awareness training to schools, post 16 settings and businesses across the Doncaster local authority. Our training will develop your understanding of autism and provide evidence-based strategies for support within your setting.
These training courses have been developed by AET and are the only ones accredited via the Department for Education. All courses are developed together with parents, teachers and autistic young people.
The courses we offer include:
Making sense of autism (Schools Making Sense of Autism | Autism Education Trust) which is a raising awareness module for anyone working in schools or post 16 settings. This includes teaching and support staff, office and ancillary staff, caterers, caretakers, transport staff and governors.
Good Autism Practice (Schools Good Autism Practice | Autism Education Trust) which is a module for practitioners who work directly with autistic children in schools settings, and it provides guidance on processes and tools that can help practitioners to implement good autism practice.
We also offer topic-based modules including an anxiety module (Anxiety Module | Autism Education Trust) and an exclusions module (Exclusions Module | Autism Education Trust).
Our delivery is tailored to suit the needs of each setting and supported with comprehensive resources and materials for practical application within the setting. We are also flexible in terms of mode of delivery of the courses, and are happy to discuss this with you.
